Rich and Earthy
Appearance: Light garnet
Nose: Ripe cherries, fresh earthy and a rich savoury note
Palate: A killer acid line and big, structural tannins balanced with generous lashings of integrated fruit and oak.
Winemaking: Cold soaked 5 days before starting ferment, spending an additional 23 days on skins. Gentle working during this time to extract lot’s of robust but rounded tannins.
Maturation: 10 months in aged American oak further softening tannins and filling out mid palate.
Grown on estate from our Langhorne Creek Vineyard which is situated off the heavy alluvial soils of the flood plains, on shallower terrra rossa soil, ideal for precision control over water use on the vines and known to provide more structural wines.
